Kingsland Baptist Church
This system was a retrofit to replace an aging and inadequate sound system. The new system, designed collaboratively with Acoustic Dimensions, replaces the previous loudspeakers, control systems, amplifier racks, wiring, monitoring systems, mixing console and outboard equipment. The design goal was to produce a concert-grade sound system capable of supporting current worship and occasional concerts. The loudspeaker system comprises two EAW KF-730 6-element "line arrays" for main reinforcement, along with two EV FRX-660 side fills, four Community STS-26 front fills, 24 Community STS-26 time-aligned rear fills, two Frazier Cat-66 choir monitors, and two Bag End D18 dual subwoofers. A pair of Peavey Architectural Acoustics X-Frame 88 processors drives the system, which is powered by a rack of QSC amplifiers. In order to handle the new electrical demands, a new power system was installed, complete with a double-faraday-shielded transformer, an isolated technical ground system with its own ground rod, and a Lyntec sequenced power panel. Additional acoustic treatments were added to the room to "clean up" the room's response and shorten its reverberation time. The system was installed by Hairel Enterprises of Conroe, Texas. DMG Systems has also provided sound systems for Kingsland's fellowship hall and conference rooms, as well as a video production system for their worship center. Houston Community College System
This state-of-the-art recording studio is equipped with a brand new SSL 4048G+ console with Total Recall and Ultimation, an Otari MTR-90 24-track 2" analog tape machine, 32 tracks of DTRS digital tape, an Alesis HD24 hard disk recorder and a Pro Tools system. Outboard equipment includes a mixture of modern and vintage processing and the studio is completed by an impressive microphone locker. DMG Systems designed and specified the room design, electrical system requirements, wiring charts and diagrams, installation methods and standards, and coordinated the installation with the help of HCC crew. Kingsland Baptist Church This system was designed to serve the varied uses of the typical multipurpose room. As such, it comprises 18 JBL Control 26C coaxial ceiling speakers, configured as 3 zones with the system processor. A number of sources, including wireless and wired microphones, CD player, cassette player, VCR, and DVD player, all feed the matrix mixer which then feeds the three zones as determined by a number of presets.
This system was designed to be as easy to use as possible so that anyone could walk in and instantly use it without training. As such, the processor and amplifiers are hidden in a ventilated closet, and only the simple control panel and playback devices are accessible to the user. Second Baptist Church Second Baptist is upgrading their sound system in their rather large worship center and hired DMG Systems to assist in planning and preparing for this substantial upgrade. The new system will include Nexo Geo arrays and Digico D5 consoles for front-of-house and monitor mix positions. Professional Affiliations:
